SA8000 is a certification standard that encourages companies to develop and maintain socially ethical practices in the workplace, and was developed by Social Accountability International and a committee made up of trade unions, NGOs and civil society organizations.
The certification criteria SA8000 have been developed thanks to the collaboration between industries and companies, which have thus created a common standard of compliance.
